Community Guidelines

1. Purpose of the Community

KeyCoMatch exists to help people connect, organize, and manage housing relationships safely and respectfully. These Community Guidelines establish expectations for conduct to protect users, reduce risk, and maintain a trustworthy platform.

All users—tenants, renters, co-owners, landlords, realtors, property managers, and service providers—must follow these guidelines when using the platform.

2. Respectful & Lawful Conduct

Users must:

  • Treat others with respect and professionalism
  • Communicate honestly and in good faith
  • Follow applicable laws and regulations
  • Use the platform only for housing-related purposes

The following behavior is not permitted:

  • Harassment, threats, or intimidation
  • Discrimination based on race, gender, disability, religion, family status, sexual orientation, or protected characteristics
  • Hate speech or abusive language
  • Sexual content or solicitation
  • Fraud, impersonation, or misrepresentation

Violations may result in warnings, restrictions, suspension, or permanent removal.

3. Platform Messaging Rules

KeyCoMatch messaging is asynchronous and housing focused.

Users may:

  • Discuss housing opportunities
  • Coordinate viewings, applications, or documentation
  • Ask reasonable housing-related questions

Users may not:

  • Use messaging for dating, social chatting, or unrelated conversations
  • Attempt to bypass message limits
  • Spam or mass-message users
  • Use the platform for harassment or manipulation

4. AI-Assisted Features – Acceptable Use

KeyCoMatch offers AI-assisted tools for:

  • Platform navigation and FAQs
  • Compatibility matching
  • Housing information and workflow guidance
  • Agreement explanations
  • Communication support
  • Dispute reflection and de-escalation

Users must understand:

  • AI tools provide general information only
  • AI does not provide legal, financial, medical, or professional advice
  • AI outputs may be limited, delayed, or restricted by subscription tier

5. Dispute & Venting Tools

Some AI tools are designed to help users reflect, de-escalate, and communicate constructively.

These tools:

  • Are not mediation services
  • Are not legal services
  • Are not therapy or counseling

They exist to support respectful communication—not to resolve disputes or determine outcomes.

6. Trust Signals & Verification

KeyCoMatch may display:

  • Identity verification badges
  • Profile completion indicators
  • Interaction history
  • Community feedback summaries

Verification is optional and conducted by third-party providers. It does not guarantee behavior or outcomes and does not constitute endorsement by KeyCoMatch.

7. Community Feedback & Reviews

KeyCoMatch uses structured feedback, not open public reviews.

Feedback must:

  • Be factual and respectful
  • Relate only to platform interactions
  • Avoid accusations, personal attacks, or defamatory statements

8. Realtors, Landlords & Professionals

Professionals using the platform must:

  • Hold required licenses and authorizations
  • Represent listings accurately
  • Comply with referral agreements and disclosure requirements
  • Communicate professionally with users

9. Fraud, Scams & Safety

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Fake listings
  • Impersonation of landlords or professionals
  • Requests for off-platform payments
  • Attempts to collect sensitive information improperly

Users should report suspicious activity immediately.

10. Enforcement & Moderation

KeyCoMatch may act at its discretion to protect users and the platform, including:

  • Issuing warnings
  • Limiting features or access
  • Suspending or terminating accounts
  • Removing content or feedback

11. Reporting Issues

Users are encouraged to report:

  • Harassment or abuse
  • Fraud or scams
  • Misuse of AI or messaging
  • Violations of these guidelines

Reports are reviewed confidentially.
